Marc D. Nickel

Professional Biography

Marc D. Nickel represents US and foreign multinational clients in international and technology-related tax matters. With an emphasis on tax controversy and US federal tax planning, Marc assists clients with transfer pricing issues in services, tangible goods, and transfers of intangibles. He has experience in valuation disputes, on research credits, and on Section 199 calculations. Nonprofit entities turn to Marc for advice on formation and tax-exempt status issues.

Marc practiced tax law at national law firms in Washington, DC, and Palo Alto, California, before joining Morgan Lewis. He worked for the US House Committee on Small Business while attending law school and served as executive managing editor for the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Quarterly Journal
