Matthew D. Schneider

Matt maintains a diverse environmental litigation and regulatory practice, working with clients nationwide across many industrial sectors.

Matt advises clients on a wide range of environmental and land use management programs. He counsels clients on international products materials restrictions, state and federal minerals management, as well as regulation of pesticide products under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and state laws. Matt has worked on a variety of complex environmental litigation matters in state and federal courts.

Before joining Beveridge & Diamond, Matt worked as a law clerk for the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, and a legal intern at the Office of the Solicitor at the U.S. Department of the Interior. During his time at the University of Virginia School of Law, Matt served as a member of the Environmental & Regulatory Law Clinic, where he argued before the Virginia State Corporation Commission in an energy efficiency proposal hearing. Before law school, Matt worked as a management analyst for the U.S. Department of Energy, focusing on climate change adaptation and sustainability.
