Michael Horne assists clients in preventing, mitigating and managing exposure through risk, crises, and claims and litigation management, following a carefully conceived resolution plan designed to determine likely exposure, identify resolution options and produce outcomes that adhere to prescribed guidelines. Michael understands that clients prefer quick and cost-effective solutions to complex and potentially protracted liability cases, so he seeks to accelerate turnaround through procedural dismissals, substantive dismissals, successful tenders and negotiated settlements.
While in law school, Michael was a judicial intern for the Honorable Gary Katzmann at the Massachusetts Courts of Appeals; a law clerk at firm in New York City; a legal intern in the legal department at the corporate offices of a major retailer; and a law clerk at a law firm in Boston, Massachusetts.
In addition, Michael was one of six students selected to participate in the Community Business Law Clinic at Northeastern University during his third year of law school. After law school, Michael worked as a labor relations adviser at the Massachusetts Office of Employee Relations before joining Wilson Elser.
