Nick Probst is a shareholder in the Government Law Group and chair of the Government Relations Section. Nick is an attorney and registered Wisconsin lobbyist with experience in both public and private practice of law, public policy, consulting, government administration, and business development.
Prior to joining von Briesen, Nick was Vice President at a Wisconsin government relations firm where he represented clients on a diverse set of issues ranging from health care and infrastructure to emerging technology and economic development. Nick’s client services included direct lobbying, developing and implementing political action strategies, coalition building, and policy analysis.
Nick is a veteran of state and local government having served in staff leadership positions as Legal Counsel and policy advisor in the Office of the Assembly Speaker, Director of State Relations at the UW System, and Department Head as Personnel Director/City Clerk at the City of Stoughton.
Nick is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies, and the Association of Wisconsin Lobbyists. He is an active community volunteer and presently serves as Board President for the Stoughton Boys Basketball Association, Inc.
