Nick Furtwengler is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Chicago office. He focuses his practice on state and local tax matters.
Nick is experienced in state and local tax planning, controversy and incentive work. Nick previously worked at a major international accounting and consulting firm, where he focused exclusively on state and local tax consulting. There, Nick’s tax consulting included industry experience in the food and beverage, construction, retail, manufacturing and service industries.
Nick is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago.
Nick received his J.D. in 2011 from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He earned his B.B.A., cum laude, in 2008 in finance and accounting from University of Cincinnati.
