Nicole Chimienti is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP, and a member of the firm's Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Practice and the Mechanical & Electromechanical Technology Practice, where she focuses on design rights.

Nicole is uniquely positioned to counsel clients in the field of design rights in view of her education and work experience as an industrial designer. Prior to joining Foley, she specialized in ergonomics and human-centered product design. She offers experience in front-end ideation and prototyping in a broad number of industries, including:

• Agricultural machinery (e.g., developed a high-level conceptual tractor cab model which showcased the future of farming technology relating to an aging farming population)

• Furniture design (e.g., created custom, hand-made home furniture solutions from initial concept through fabrication)

• Housewares (e.g., designed in-home gardening products and kitchenware)

• Nutraceutical and pharmaceutical packaging (e.g., designed bottles, closures, and labels which focused on accessible and safe capsule storage and ingestion)

• Sporting goods (e.g., engineered an improved rotating field goal post)
