Nitya Anand focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation matters. She counsels life sciences, chemical and technology companies on patent and case strategies. An experienced litigator, she translates complex issues and technical information into successful arguments in both the courtroom and the boardroom.

Nitya implements successful case strategies in both judge and jury trials in district courts as well as in proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office, US International Trade Commission and Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She has significant experience in the pharmaceutical (small molecules and biologics), chemical, agricultural. and medical device industries. She frames and simplifies the complicated technical issues of those fields into judge-, jury-, and stakeholder-friendly analyses. Nitya also regularly assists clients with due diligence in support of the purchase or sale of drugs or royalty streams, patent prosecution, infringement and validity opinion assessments and IP licensing.

Prior to practicing law, Nitya worked in diversity and inclusion affairs in a university setting. She maintains an active pro bono practice.
