Peter Leal is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property law and e-commerce law. Peter advises clients in intellectual property transactions including drafting and negotiating patent and software license agreements, technology development and manufacturing agreements, supply agreements, distribution agreements, and Internet based agreements. He also provides license agreement interpretation, royalty audits, open source software advice, and intellectual property due diligence for, and intellectual property agreements pertaining to, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures of complex technologies. Peter has had one license agreement litigated and upheld by the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Peter serves as a patent law expert witness in patent litigation.  He is also a patent license agreement expert and a software license agreement expert, as well as a development agreement expert.
