Puja is a member of the Technology-Media-Telecommunication (TMT) Laws Practice Group at the multi-skilled, research-focused international law firm Nishith Desai Associates. Since graduating from Jindal Global Law School in 2017, Puja completed a certification course on Public Policy Challenges of the 21st Century offered by the University of Virginia. She is currently pursuing a certificate course on U.S. Public Policy: Social, Economic, and Foreign Policies offered by HarvardX. Puja has worked on various regulatory and compliance matters, as well as policy and advocacy initiatives, in areas like cloud services, over-the-top services, data protection, e-commerce, intermediary liability, intellectual property, gaming, education, and telecommunication. Puja regularly attends various seminars and events on TMT policy and tracks them for the benefit of the firm’s members and clients. She is also closely involved in policy submissions to regulators and committees on TMT policy, both for the firm’s clients as well as the independent submissions of the firm. Puja is part of the team regularly advising a social media company on content takedown notices issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. She closely tracks and advises on a wide spectrum of telecom regulations for global Internet companies, including machine-to-machine communication, the Telecom Commercial Communication Preference Regulations, 2018 and Other Service Provider regime.
