R. Scott Nuzum

Scott Nuzum represents clients seeking to develop oil and gas resources on federal and tribal lands onshore and on the Outer Continental Shelf. Scott also advises clients on the planning and construction of energy infrastructure, including pipelines, transmission lines, and renewable energy facilities. Having worked in both the White House and the Interior Department, Scott has experience with a wide range of federal energy, natural resources, and environmental authorities. Scott understands that subtle differences in federal agency practice and interpretation can have profound impacts on how individual agencies assess individual leases and projects. With this knowledge, Scott assists clients in sorting through legal versus policy hurdles, thereby allowing clients to strategically pursue their underlying development goals.
