Mr. Fletcher is the President and CEO of Intellectual Property Insurance Services Corporation (IPISC). Under Mr. Fletcher's direction, IPISC serves as the Managing General Agent and Program Manager for intellectual property risks.
In addition to founding IPISC 20 years ago, Mr. Fletcher is a patent attorney with more than 40 years of experience in the prosecution ofpatents and the business and legal phases of patent practice. After serving in the patent departments of Standard Oil, American Air Filter and General Electric, he entered the field of investment banking where he conceived and developed a patent sale and license back program as a revenue generating and tax shelter plan for increasing the worth of patent assets. He also played a lead role in conceiving and developing intellectual property infringement abatement insurance. Mr. Fletcher is experienced in valuing patents, developing R&D limited partnerships, tax shelters and underwriting insurance coverages as well as analyzing, evaluating and selecting patent licensing/enforcement opportunities.
