Sarah Whitmire first joined the Center in Summer 2010 as a web intern, and returned in August 2011 as a web producer. She graduated magna cum laude from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in digital journalism, a master’s degree in mass communication, and a minor in sociology. During her graduate capstone, she produced projects dealing with controversial Arizona topics such as immigration and medical marijuana. She has also completed internships with Newser, Draft Magazine, and Phoenix Magazine.
