Scott D. Stimpson is Chair of the Sills Cummis & Gross Intellectual Property Practice Group and is resident in the Firm’s New York Office at 30 Rockefeller Center. Mr. Stimpson is Co-Chair of the Litigation Committee for the New York Intellectual Property Law Association. He has achieved an "AV Preeminent" rating from Martindale-Hubbell (the highest possible peer review rating), and has been recognized as a "New York Super Lawyer" in intellectual property. Mr. Stimpson has practiced intellectual property litigation and counseling for more than 20 years. He has significant trial (jury and nonjury), arbitration and mediation experience. He has successfully litigated many patent infringement cases, serving as lead litigation counsel in numerous cases. Mr. Stimpson’s litigation experience has involved technologies such as medical and other mechanical devices, semiconductors, cameras, cell phones, flash memories, chemical compositions, biotechnology and computer science. His licensing and counseling work has similarly involved a wide range of technical disciplines and clients. Mr. Stimpson also has significant experience in general commercial litigation, including causes of action such a breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and other state and federal claims.
