Sheila T. Minihane is of counsel in the Raleigh, North Carolina, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She has practiced exclusively in the area of business immigration law for more than two decades.
Sheila represents companies in all main business immigration sponsorship categories, including H-1B, L-1, TN, E trade visas. She also guides employers through the U.S. permanent residence sponsorship process, including EB-1 executives and managers and PERM labor certification. Sheila helps employers design immigration sponsorship policies and provides advice and counsel on compliance issues including H-1B, I-9, E-Verify, and government site visits.
Sheila has extensive experience representing international investors and global organizations with the transfer of international personnel, with an emphasis on E Treaty Trader/Investors and L-1 Intracompany Transfers.
Sheila understands how critical an organization’s employees are to its success and takes a hands-on approach to partnering with and guiding businesses and their employees in navigating the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. As the daughter and spouse of immigrants, she appreciates how critical this process is to organizations and their employees.
Sheila represents clients across industries, including the life sciences, alternative energy, engineering, manufacturing, information technology, financial services, and healthcare.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Sheila headed the immigration practice of a Chicago-based law firm.
