Stephen Paffrath represents financial institutions, manufacturers, local and state government entities, charities, and individuals in a wide variety of disputes involving such matters as product liability, class action defense, the scope of agent fiduciary duties, liability under statutes such as California’s Unfair Competition Law, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the scope of federal preemption under the National Bank Act and regulatory schemes governing financial institutions, the imputation of a corporate officer’s or director’s knowledge to the corporation, and law firm disqualification for attorney and support staff conflicts of interest.

Prior to joining the firm, Stephen was a high school English teacher.
