Steven S. Goodman is a Principal in the Long Island, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. For the past 32 years, he has been engaged exclusively in the practice of labor and employment law. From 1975 until 1979, Mr. Goodman was with the National Labor Relations Board at Region 29.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Goodman has regularly counseled clients in the development and implementation of preventive labor and employee relations programs and has represented management with respect to union organizational drives and in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the federal and state courts and other federal and state administrative agencies, as well as in the area of collective bargaining and arbitration. Mr. Goodman has also advised clients on compliance with various federal laws affecting the workplace, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as various state statutes dealing with employment issues.
