Susan is a corporate attorney who focuses her practice on data security and privacy matters. She is experienced in negotiating privacy terms for commercial technology and data licensing agreements, and drafting complex consumer privacy notices and disclosures. She has substantial experience counseling global business and technology clients on data privacy obligations and risks relating to connected products and services. She is skilled at guiding clients through global and domestic privacy compliance efforts, such as GDPR and CCPA.
Susan previously served as data privacy and cybersecurity counsel for a major global automaker where she counseled clients on evolving privacy and data security laws, as well as best practices in support of connected device products and services. In addition to her law degree, Susan holds a Master of Laws degree in national security law, which focused on emerging legal obligations in the areas of data privacy and cybersecurity. She is credentialed as an IAPP certified information privacy professional. Susan clerked for U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn.
