Tianran Yan is an associate and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He has extensive experience in assisting clients with worldwide patent protection strategies. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and counseling in U.S. and foreign jurisdictions, due diligence investigation, patent strategy and patent portfolio management, patent enforcement and licensing, freedom-to-operate analyses, and patent validity and infringement issues. Mr. Yan is a member of the firm’s Chemical, Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Practice, and the Nanotechnology and Life Sciences Industry Teams. Mr. Yan has been actively involved in expanding Foley’s China practice. He regularly travels to China and provides lectures to Chinese law firms and companies to help them gain insight into the U.S. legal system. In addition, Mr. Yan has been assisting U.S. companies to protect their intellectual property rights in China.
