Whitney Swart is a litigation associate with Foley & Lardner LLP, based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and the Pro Bono Racial Justice and Equity Practice Groups. Whitney is admitted only in Maryland. She is practicing under the supervision of a member of the D.C. Bar.
Whitney has worked on a variety of investigations and litigation disputes. She regularly consults clients on the Administrative Procedure Act, contract disputes, and international trade. Whitney also represents clients in internal or government investigations, including in proceedings and investigations by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and state entities. In addition, she maintains a substantial pro bono practice in immigration and constitutional law.
Prior to joining the firm, Whitney was a summer associate with Foley. While in law school, Whitney participated in the Intellectual Property Clinic, where she consulted with clients on their trademark and patent prospects and prepared trademark filings. Whitney also previously worked for two nonprofit organizations that specialize in immigration law. There, she helped primarily Spanish-speaking clients petition for immigration status.
