Yichen (Emily) Liu, Ph.D. is an associate and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Dr. Liu counsels clients on various aspects of intellectual property matters, including drafting patent applications, patent prosecution, portfolio management, due diligence, and providing invalidity and non-infringement opinions. Her practice spans a number of technological areas, including diagnostic testing, immunology, pharmaceutical compositions including small molecules, peptides, proteins, and drug delivery systems. She is a member of the Chemical, Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Practice.
Dr. Liu was a summer associate with Foley in 2013. Prior to joining Foley, she served as a patent and licensing clinic member to the University of Virginia School of Law. She also was a summer associate to a small litigation firm.
