In 2019, the United States Government continued its aggressive scrutiny of the health care industry using a variety of anti-fraud tools and compliance requirements. Health care entities continue to face high levels of risk under the Federal False Claims Act and other fraud and abuse laws including the Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark Law. In the last 12 months, the Government has also issued guidance and rolled out a number of initiatives that may be advantageous to health care providers and other stakeholders.
Please join Polsinelli’s Health Care practice for a discussion of the Government's recently issued guidance, important settlements, noteworthy cases, recent trends, and predictions for the coming year. CLE credit pending.
