Approximately 800 hospitals in nearly 70 U.S. Metropolitan Statistical Areas must now comply with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) model.

This model requires planning and implementing a combined physician/post-acute care strategy and network of collaborators to share gains and losses for the 90-day post-discharge period of at-risk patient care.
