On June 20, 2017, CMS released a proposed rule outlining the Medicare Quality Payment Program criteria for program years 2018 and later under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA). This webinar will review the significant changes and potential implications of the proposal for health care organizations and professionals. Our discussion will consider the proposal’s potential strategic, operational and other benefits and burdens, and identify potential changes that might be proposed by stakeholders during the proposed rule’s comment period ending on August 21, 2017.
Our agenda:
-
Key proposals in the proposed rule relating to the APM (Alternative Payment Model) and MIPS (Merit Based Payment Incentive System) pathways.
-
Potential implications, benefits and burdens to health care organizations and individual professionals should the proposal be finalized.
-
Potential refinements and additional changes that may be considered through stakeholder comments.
-
Questions, discussion and potential action plans.
