Yesterday, the House debated and passed the TSCA reform bill, the "Frank R. Lautenberg - Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act," H.R. 2576. This bill overhauls TSCA requirements for both "new" and "existing" industrial chemicals.

The bill was passed by a vote of 403 to 12. It has been extensively negotiated and amended to address competing priorities and concerns. H.R. 2576 is expected to be fast-tracked to the Senate for a vote this week.
