An Overview of New State Privacy Laws: CCPA/CPRA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA, and VCDPA
This course will provide an overview of the modern state data privacy and security laws enacted by California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Virginia, as well as discuss legislative proposals in fifteen to twenty additional states. Legal requirements, compliance obligations, and practical tips for attorneys will be discussed.
This CLE program will explain:

|•||Overview of the General Data Protection Regulation and its legal requirements;|
|•||Comparison to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA);|
|•||Additional requirements imposed by the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), Utah Consumer Protection Act (UCPA), and Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA); and|
|•||Statutory oddities and unique provisions and upcoming trends on compliance.|
