With an increasing demand for greener packaging solutions, the interest in recycled plastics for food packaging is growing. We will explore how these jurisdictions address the safety and compliance of these products from the standpoint of source materials and recycling processes. The discussion will include an overview of imminent changes in the EU with the new Recycled Plastics Regulation (scheduled to come into force in the coming months), which will overhaul the regulatory framework applicable to plastic recycling processes in the EU.
