Ambassador Vimont will share his insights on the refugee crisis in Europe. An informal exchange will follow. 

In 2015, Ambassador Vimont prepared the Valetta conference in Malta between EU and African countries to address the causes of migration to Europe. From December 2010 to March 2015, he was the first Executive Secretary-General of the European External Action Service (EEAS). Before that, he served as French Ambassador to the United States from 2007 to 2010 and to the European Union from 1999 to 2002.
