Jennifer Katz represents and advises employers in all aspects of employment law. In addition to her experience representing employers in single-plaintiff litigation on claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment, both in state and federal courts in California, Jennifer has significant experience representing employers in all aspects of class action wage-and-hour litigation. Jennifer also advises employers on issues related to compliance with state and federal regulations, including California’s wage-and-hour laws and the Fair Labor Standards Act. In addition to labor and employment matters, prior to joining Ogletree, Jennifer litigated complex commercial disputes, as well as bankruptcy, intellectual property, and real estate matters in both state and federal court.
Jennifer received her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 2008. As a student at UCLA, Jennifer served as a Senior Editor of the UCLA Law Review, and was a staff member of the Journal of Law and Technology. Prior to law school, Jennifer attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in the Biological Basis of Behavior and receiving honors for her senior thesis, the results of which were published in the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience.
