Soniya Shah

Soniya Shah focuses on patent litigation and prosecution. She handles intellectual property matters related to electronics and information technology, including computer hardware, software, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and electrical and computer technology.

While in law school, Soniya worked as a law clerk focused on global trade and policy, including economic sanctions, export controls, and trade policy matters, including Section 301 tariff changes and exclusion requests. She also worked as a summer associate at Finnegan, assisting with research matters in the virtual reality and renewable energy spaces.

Upon completing her undergraduate studies, Soniya worked as a technical writer for an analytic database management software company. She wrote product documentation for machine learning and security and catalogued best practices for the management system.

Soniya devotes a portion of her time to pro bono matters and has experience with asylum cases.
