Environmental and energy laws intersect routinely with businesses, in many different niches and industries. From companies developing solar energy systems to a small business selling all-natural, organic foods, these industries collide with legislation and court precedents, and companies must be aware of the regulations impacting their businesses. Many environmental issues and regulations find their way to the courtroom, as different agencies and environmental groups fight for their various interests.  Litigation covering the Clean Water Act and how it is enforced, as well as litigation on CERCLA and Superfund site clean-up costs and environmental litigation brought by the Army Corps of Engineers.

Climate Change and the Environment

Climate change has been a major factor in environmental legal issues, as the impacts of climate change are felt and there is increasing public pressure for companies and governments to pay attention to its devastating effects. The National Law Review provides coverage of corporate responses to climate changecreative litigation for the benefit of children, and the responses to climate change and coverage of world agreements, like the Paris Agreement,  and President Trump’s controversial withdrawal from the Paris Agreement.
