Professional Biography

Christina J. Marshall is a principal attorney in Miller Canfield's Product Safety Practice Group. Over the past 19 years, she has litigated civil cases throughout the Midwest and has successfully argued in front of numerous appellate courts, including the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Ohio.

She has defended major manufacturers, health care providers and excess insurers in products liability, warranty/consumer law, class action, professional liability, mass torts and catastrophic injury cases.

In 2007, Christina was selected by a major U.S. automobile manufacturer to manage an Early Resolution Program for the company's consumer claims in an 8-state region. Using this regional knowledge and experience, she works directly with the manufacturer to develop nationwide litigation strategies.

Christina's professional experience began as an Assistant County Prosecutor and then Chief of the Summit County (Ohio) Appellate Division. Upon entering private practice, Christina first joined a large civil defense firm and then practiced with a mid-sized boutique firm, which specialized in defending catastrophic litigation.

Rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, Christina is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), a national, invitation-only trial and appellate lawyer honorary society. She was also named a Rising Star by Ohio SuperLawyers magazine in 2006 and 2011.

In addition to her law degree, Christina holds an M.B.A. in Finance and is a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo. Christina is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Michigan, and is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the American Bar Association.
