Danielle Varnell works extensively on M&A and joint venture transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including the sale and purchase of renewable, fossil fuel and nuclear generation assets. She has advised on some of the largest wind, solar and battery storage transactions in the world, as well as on transactions involving innovative clean technologies such as carbon capture and sequestration. Over the course of her career, Danielle has advised strategic and financial buyers and sellers on the purchase, sale or development of more than 8,000 MW of wind generation, 7,000 MW of solar generation and 4,000 MW of nuclear generation assets.

Danielle also has extensive experience with energy and infrastructure project development, including the negotiation and drafting of build transfer agreements, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, construction management agreements, asset management agreements, and equipment procurement and supply agreements, as well as numerous other project development agreements. Danielle also advises clients on significant electric transmission projects.

She speaks and writes extensively on issues of import in the energy sector, including both onshore and offshore wind, financing solutions for renewable energy projects and solar and storage development.
