Julia L. Koechley is an Associate in Vedder Price’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Litigation group.

Ms. Koechley’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, data privacy, class action, and corporate and professional liability matters in state and federal courts. As a seasoned litigator, she has experience representing clients in all stages of litigation up to trial, including discovery, motion practice and settlement negotiations.

Ms. Koechley also maintains an active pro bono practice, working hand in hand with Equip for Equality to ensure that children with disabilities have the right to a free and appropriate public education.

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Koechley worked in the Chicago office of an Am Law 100 firm where she regularly defended businesses in a broad range of complex commercial matters and routinely defended class action claims, including those arising under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.

Ms. Koechley received her law degree, summa cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. While in law school, Ms. Koechley was a five-time CALI Award Winner and served as an Editor of Articles for the DePaul Law Review. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
