Kate Campbell is a member of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity and Technology & Digital Business practice groups. She holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Kate’s practice focuses on advising clients in a wide array of matters related to cybersecurity and data privacy. She counsels clients on compliance with state, federal and international privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (EU) (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the New York Department of Financial Services Cybersecurity Regulation. Kate assists her clients with establishing data privacy programs, information security programs, information handling, incident response plans, and subsidiary information technology and security standards and policies. Her work also includes data breach prevention and data breach response and remediation. Kate also supports clients through litigation related to cybersecurity and data privacy.

Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Kate practiced in the litigation departments of top firms in Washington D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles. She has extensive experience in deceptive trade practice claims, the Lanham Act and general business-related litigation. During law school, Kate was the Executive Senior Editor of the Southern California Law Review. She was also a judicial extern for the Honorable Stephen Hillman of the US District Court, Central District of California.
