Kathryn Parsons-Reponte is an associate and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Kathryn counsels international and domestic clients on legal and business issues relating to technology, intellectual property, and commercial deals across a wide range of industries. She routinely drafts, reviews, and negotiates technology and commercial agreements, including patent license, software license, technology transfer, research and development, manufacturing and supply, collaboration, and joint venture agreements for the high tech, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and other life sciences industries.
Prior to her legal career, Kathryn was a research associate at Genentech, where she developed extensive regulatory experience as her project progressed from Investigational New Drug filing through market approval. As an integral member of the team, she developed a robust understanding of the challenges facing the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.
Kathryn started her legal career as an associate with an intellectual property law firm located in Washington, D.C., where she prosecuted utility patents in the mechanical arts, design patents, and trademark applications before the USPTO, obtained and managed global patent protection for her clients, and drafted patentability and infringement opinions.
