Louise Dyble is an attorney in the Real Estate, Land Use and Environmental Law Practice Group in the firm's San Francisco office.

Areas of Practice

Louise helps clients navigate all areas of environmental law. With an in-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations, her practice focuses on assisting clients with a wide variety of environmental regulatory and litigation matters.

Louise advises clients on regulatory compliance and defense, including matters involving the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (Superfund), the Clean Water Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and the Toxic Substances Control Act. Louise has represented clients facing remediation and natural resource damages claims in state and federal court. She has advised clients on liability and risk associated with real property transactions, including redevelopment and brownfields projects. Louise also helps prepare clients for regulatory change and its implications, including new reporting requirements and water quality standards for emerging contaminants such as 1,4-Dioxane, and per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including PFOA and PFOS.

Louise’s practice also includes permitting and environmental diligence for transactions involving large-scale solar and wind projects in California and the Midwest. She has advised clients on compliance with the Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, the California Environmental Quality Act, and Proposition 65. She has represented water and energy companies in ratemaking and adjudicatory proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission. She has advised private companies and public agencies on compliance with water quality regulations, and in resolving disputes involving water infrastructure administration and financing.

Louise’s pro bono practice includes legal and advocacy work related to affordable housing, transportation policy, and climate and greenhouse gas regulation.
