Professional Biography

Madison C. Picard has experience working on cases involving immigration, employment, and labor matters. A practiced researcher, Madison has assisted clients in need of legal advocacy for a wide variety of issues ranging from unemployment benefits, criminal defense, Asylum status, and more.

Prior to joining Robinson+Cole, Madison served as a law clerk for the Honorable Hope C. Seeley of the Connecticut Appellate Court. During that role she drafted and reviewed court opinions involving a wide range of legal issues.

During law school, Madison interned for a well-known global law firm, where she extensively researched various labor, employment and business immigration matters and drafted memoranda on her findings. She also participated in an Immigration Clinic, where she individually maintained a caseload of clients in need of legal advocacy for immigration matters, and a semester-in-practice program, where she externed for the CPCS Public Defender Division in Springfield, Massachusetts, and represented indigent clients in various criminal proceedings. Additionally, Madison interned for the Rhode Island Center for Justice and for the Victim Rights Law Center, two non-profit organizations dedicated to providing civil legal aid.

Prior to attending law school, Madison served a year long term as an AmeriCorps Legal Advocate at Community Legal Aid in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she assisted the Housing and Victims of Crime units.
