Shiva Sandill is a senior counsel and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Mr. Sandill advises emerging and middle-market companies at all stages of maturity, including formation, initial funding, expansion and exit. He also represents private equity and venture capital funds in connection with portfolio company investments, buyouts and recapitalizations. He has experience counseling clients with a variety of corporate transactions with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, corporate finance and securities and capital markets transactions. He also serves as outside counsel to numerous companies, attending board meetings and advising on corporate actions.

Mr. Sandill was previously in-house at Caterpillar Inc., where he advised Caterpillar and its subsidiaries with respect to a variety of domestic and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions; international direct sales; joint ventures in the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Africa; and global supply chain, human resource and research and development matters.
