Danielle H. Tangorre represents and advises a broad range of health care providers, including clinical laboratories, long-term care facilities, behavioral health providers, substance abuse providers, physician group practices and licensed healthcare providers. She is a member of the Health Law Group.
Regulatory
Danielle advises clients on operational and compliance issues, federal and state fraud and abuse laws, including the Stark law, Anti-Kickback Statute and the Eliminating Kickbacks in Recovery Act (as well as state law counterparts), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), and other regulatory matters.
As a result of her clinical ethics fellowship at the Alden March Bioethics Institute at Albany Medical Center, which she immediately pursued following simultaneously obtaining an M.S. in Bioethics at Albany Medical Center and completing law school, Danielle provides her clients with an uncommon, holistic perspective. With her experience in ethics and day-to-day experience in delivering care in the hospital, Danielle actively engages with and advises clients on the ethical and legal requirements related to delivery of health care services, consent issues, guardianship and other advanced care planning.
Transactional
Danielle has experience representing health care providers in business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. She has counseled several health care providers through complex re-organizations and affiliations while navigating various business and regulatory concerns. Danielle also routinely advises clients on how to navigate complex federal and state laws, obtain required state consents and assists in structuring those corporate arrangements.
Community Involvement
Danielle serves on the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House of Charities of the Capital Region, and as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Albany Medical Center. She was also previously a member of Albany Medical Center’s Institutional Review Board.
Every year since 2015, Danielle has been named to the Upstate New York Risings Stars list by Super Lawyers®. She is a frequent writer and lecturer on health-related legal and bioethical issues.
