The program will address:

  • The advantages and disadvantages of giving directly from the company vs. setting up a separate private foundation using the company’s name,

  • Governance structures for corporate private foundations

  • Self-dealing restrictions when using a separate private foundation, and

  • The increasing popularity of commercial co-ventures instead of pure philanthropy, with attendant legal issues.

Special insights on these issues will be provided by the President of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation. Panelists include:

There is no cost to participate in this program, but pre-registration is required.
