OSHA – A Not-So-Lame Duck: Food and Beverage Breakfast Briefing Series

Virtual Conference, Hosted By Michael Best & Friedrich LLP

Tuesday, March 24, 2015 - 8:00 AM - Tuesday, March 24, 2015 - 10:00 AM

Michael Best, a FaB Wisconsin annual sponsor, will be hosting a series of complimentary food and beverage breakfast briefings for clients, friends of the Firm and FaB Wisconsin members. Each briefing will focus on a topic relevant to food and beverage organizations. The briefings will be held in the Milwaukee Office Boardroom, with check-in, continental breakfast and networking from 8:00-8:30 a.m. and program from 8:30-10:00 a.m. For each program, we will apply for CLE credit in Illinois and Wisconsin (if applicable).

Both OSHA and the "little OSHAs" in those states that have their own plans, are aggressively inspecting food and beverage and other worksites around the country and citing employers whose employees work at those sites for hazards OSHA identifies. It also is regulating industries by standard and regulation interpretation, not just by rulemaking. This trend of the past seven-plus years is likely, if anything, to ramp up as the next presidential election cycle approaches. Our OSHA presentation will cover "what’s up now" and what we imagine we are likely to see in the next 18 to 24 months.

Presented by Eric E. Hobbs
