The Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit have issued decisions related to patentable subject matter involving laws of nature and/or natural phenomena. In addition, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recently issued updated guidelines on subject matter eligibility in the Life Sciences. In this webinar, presenters Melissa E. Kolom and Lisa L. Mueller review recent case law concerning the patent eligibility of such subject matter and its impact on the life sciences industry and provide strategies for avoiding and overcoming such rejections.
