Alain Villeneuve joined Vedder Price as an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Group in 2006. He represents clients in a wide range of intellectual property matters including the prosecution of patents and the registration and monitoring of trademarks and copyrights. His experience includes drafting patent applications in electrical, mechanical, wireless and computer software fields. He has also filed for International Patent and Trademark applications under the PCT and Madrid regimes.
Prior to joining Vedder Price, Mr. Villeneuve worked in France for approximately 10 years in the field of nuclear engineering. While there, he was qualified by the Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique, allowing him to work in the control room of a Pressurized Water Reactor. He also supervised a team of engineers in the design, testing and construction phases of a nuclear fuel transport system. He also managed a fuel storage site and designed the first international humid fuel transport cask.
Mr. Villeneuve is a U.S. Patent Attorney (L-215) and a Solicitor registered to practice in a plurality of foreign jurisdictions. Mr. Villeneuve is a native French speaker.
