Amy R. Roth brings a broad range of experience and training to her legal practice, including work as a foreign-based sports attorney and professional journalist. She is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions Group.
Amy’s background includes advising client companies across a variety of industries, including financial services, manufacturing, retail and sports/recreation. She has negotiated, drafted and closed stock purchase, asset purchase, credit, leveraged buyout, licensing and athlete endorsement agreements.
Fluent in both French and Japanese, Amy also has advised clients on securities law (including ’33 Act shelf registrations), technology export control and derivative products, and performed due diligence.
Amy’s breadth of experience includes drafting entity formation, corporate governance, talent and nondisclosure agreements for a media/public relations partnership, and providing clients advice on licensing, intellectual property and e-commerce. She directed Media Services at the Winter Olympics Sister City Pavilion in Nagano, Japan, which involved coordinating print, TV and radio coverage of Pavilion activities, generating numerous articles in more than two dozen U.S. and international newspapers and features on 16 U.S. and international television and radio programs.
Amy’s extra-legal training includes both New York University’s Sports, Entertainment & Events Marketing certificate program, as well as the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies in Tokyo’s certificate program.
