Elizabeth (Liz) J. Baxter

Professional Biography

Elizabeth (Liz) J. Baxter is an Associate in Vedder Price’s Washington, DC office and a member of the firm’s Investment Services group.
Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Baxter assisted staff attorneys at the SEC with researching legal issues and writing memoranda on securities law topics. In addition, she argued on behalf of DC’s Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs  at trials before the Office of Administrative Hearings, researched and wrote legal memos, and communicated directly with respondents concerning settlements.

Ms. Baxter received her law degree from The George Washington University Law School and her undergraduate degree from The George Washington University.  While in law school Ms. Baxter worked in the Rising for Justice Clinic.

In addition, she was a member of the Corporate and Business Law Society and the Anti-Corruption & Compliance Association, and a volunteer at the Worker’s Rights Clinic and Election Protection Coalition Hotline. Finally, Ms. Baxter was a screener for the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project and a 1L Arbitration Dispute Resolution participant.

Ms. Baxter is conversant in Arabic.
