Jay concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation and professional liability, including medical and dental malpractice. He has represented physicians and dentists in a broad spectrum of cases involving general dentistry, periodontics, oral surgery, surgery, obstetrics, and many other medical and dental disciplines. He has represented dentists before the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. Jay also represents long term care facilities in a variety of cases.

Jay has broad experience in many other aspects of civil litigation. He has defended clients in cases involving product liability, premises liability and automobile accidents. Also, he has devoted part of his practice to toxic tort litigation, particularly asbestos, where he has frequently defended the firm's clients at depositions of plaintiffs, co-workers and medical providers, and has drafted and argued discovery and dispositive motions.
