  • Julia Sorrentino concentrates her practice on international trade regulation with a focus on compliance with U.S. export controls and economic sanctions. As an associate in the Export Controls practice group, Julia works with firm clients in a wide-range of industries such as aerospace, defense, oil and gas, electronic, software and information technology (including companies specializing in encryption software and technology), medical device, financial, food, consumer products, and biotechnology. As part of the Export Controls practice group, Julia advises on U.S. export control laws (EAR and ITAR), anti-boycott laws and special sanctions maintained by the U.S. Government against various countries (including Iran, Cuba, and Sudan) and the application of these laws to specific entities and transactions. Julia counsels clients on matters related to international trade that arise under the jurisdiction of various U.S. governmental agencies, including the Departments of Commerce, State, Treasury, and Defense.
