Kaitlyn Zacharias is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's New York office.

Areas of Practice

Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Katie represented professional liability insurers in complex coverage matters and defense disputes.  As coverage and monitoring counsel to major insurance carriers, Katie has experience advising clients on their risk and exposure in connection with claims arising under various types of professional liability policies. Katie has particular experience with securities class action and derivative claims under directors’ and officers’ policies.  As coverage litigation counsel, Katie has experience defending insurers against breach of contract and bad faith claims.

During law school, Katie was a member of the Dispute Resolution Society’s Arbitration Competition Team, where she won first place in the New York State Arbitration Competition. Katie was a member of the Student Board of Advisors and the Presidential Succession Clinic. Upon graduating, Katie received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award for her commitment to pro-bono work.
