Mark S. Levenson is a Vice Chair of the Real Estate Department and Chair of the Corporate Real Estate Practice Group. He also chairs the Firm’s Israel Business Practice Group.
Mr. Levenson handles a broad range of transactions for domestic and international clients, including acquisitions, development, sale/leasebacks, leasing, lending, design and construction projects and corporate advisory work. Mr. Levenson has 27 years of experience in private practice including 8 years as the senior real estate lawyer at a major financial services institution. During his 8-year tenure as in-house counsel, Mr. Levenson oversaw all domestic U.S. and several worldwide real estate development and construction projects for his employer and also supervised certain litigations and tax certiorari and condemnation proceedings. Over the course of his career, Mr. Levenson has done extensive international work for his clients including projects in the United Kingdom (Canary Wharf), India, the Czech Republic, Eastern Europe, Israel, Latin America and France. Mr. Levenson also served as the U.S. representative for several of his international clients.
He received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1982 and his B.A., cum laude, Brandeis University in 1978. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
