  • Matthew Carlson is a partner and a member of the firm’s Land and Resources Practice Group. His primary focus is in representing businesses and individuals in residential and commercial real estate acquisition, leasing, development and financing transactions.

    Mr. Carlson has experience representing clients in a wide array of commercial real estate transactions throughout the state of Wisconsin and the upper Midwest. This experience includes representing clients in negotiating, documenting and closing acquisitions and sales of commercial properties, as well as representing clients in commercial leasing and financing transactions. In addition, Mr. Carlson assists clients in structuring and negotiating commercial, residential, multi-use urban infill and resort development projects, which includes representing clients in obtaining required regulatory approvals and entitlements and preparing documents and agreements setting forth the rights and obligations of stakeholders.

    Mr. Carlson further assists clients with annexations, subdivision and condominium developments, land divisions, easement negotiations and zoning disputes. In addition, Mr. Carlson represents clients in the telecommunications industry with regard to the siting and leasing of their facilities. He also has experience representing businesses with regard to corporate matters, including the formation of corporate, limited liability and partnership entities, sales and purchases of assets and various ownership interests. Mr. Carlson also frequently represents lenders in commercial and real estate transactions and related matters.
